With more businesses opening/reopening around town, spring is starting to offer something for everyone. The end of April is bringing calls for charity kindnesses, unique shopping, live music, and even a pop-up venue for COVID vaccines.

Have fun and enjoy a safe, great weekend!

Richstone Family Center’s 2021 Gala: Like No Other is online, Friday, April 23. Featuring a one-hour tasting experience, silent auction, and livestreamed event, guests are inspired to support child abuse and domestic violence prevention programs.

An actual live in-person event, Wheels on Reels, is presented by the Autism Society on Friday and Saturday night this weekend, at the Redondo Ruby’s Diner parking lot. The event showcases pieces by autistic film makers followed by a screening of Grease. Guests are invited to dress in 1950s outfits, all to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month.

For anyone living or working in LA County (16 and older), appointments are available and required for (only) the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday, April 24 at AdventurePlex.

For the People Market (FTPM) is Saturday, April 24 at the South Bay Galleria. This family-friendly pop-up marketplace is designed to support diverse artists, makers, and small business owners. Free event, everyone is invited.

The SoCal Etsy Guild PopUp Market is Sunday, April 25 at the Del Amo Fashion Center, and features handmade treasures by local designers. There is also live art, food, giveaways, and more. This pop-up returns each month, usually the fourth Sunday of the month.

The Jokers band is performing live music for the first time in the South Bay since 15 months ago, at a free show - Lomita Farmers Market on Sunday, April 25 from noon until 2pm. Guests are invited to bring their dancing shoes.

More live music on Sunday is performed by Retrofit at the R10 Social House in Redondo Beach. This very popular, sought-after cover band treats fans to an eclectic mix of popular tunes from yesteryear to these current roaring 20s. Seating is limited, reservations required.
